Weather dallas, Storms bring large hail to Dallas-Fort Worth

Severe weather is moving through North Texas just as rush hour begins for many drivers.

Dallas and Tarrant County and are under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6:30 p.m. Collin County is under a severe thunderstorm warning until 6 p.m.

All of North Texas is under a tornado watch until 10 p.m.

The National Weather Service said the storm cell, moving eastward through parts of Collin, Denton and Dallas counties, was capable of producing golf ball sized hail.

WFAA-TV (Channel 8) has reports of hail in Allen , Grapevine and Fort Worth.

The weather service estimates that winds accompanying the storm could reach as high as 60 miles per hour.
